Job title: (Senior) Sales Representative Life Science Mass Spec (LSMS), DK/NO

Reports to: Sales Manager – Life Science MS, Nordic region (SWE)

Location: Preferably living in Copenhagen area or close to airport in Denmark

Position summary:
We are looking for a senior Sales person with a strong commercial drive and preferable with an Analytical Chemistry knowledge alternatively with a Chemistry background interested in learning more about Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Chromatography (Chrom). We are also open for a MS knowledgeable scientific person interested in moving into sales. High motivation and drive is essential to succeed in this position but also to use the internal assisting network and their knowledge in a smart way.

Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying business opportunities to the company's Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) portfolio and services to customers in Denmark and Norway. This is the essential part of the role and will require a high level of an advanced understanding for business development and Analytical/Chromatographic experience to qualify customer needs.
• Expands market share for the company's CMD Life Science Mass Spectrometry Portfolio in Denmark and Norway, working closely with colleagues in the Nordic CMD sales and support team
• Build strong connections and relationships across the entire organization of customer accounts ranging from end user to management
• To negotiate contracts and close orders
• Maintain and regularly enter accurate and complete customer data and sales project information into the company CRM system
• Provide accurate timely sales forecasts to sales management
• Being able to clearly identify and interpret customer’s requirements and align those to the company's capabilities. Apply the company's solutions to the customer needs and effectively communicate these to end users.
• Exchange Account Information and Sales Leads within and across the company's commercial divisions
• Actively attend Danish/Norwegian and Nordic trade shows, user meetings, seminars and other customer facing events
• Be prepared to discuss business forecasts and growth opportunities in Denmark and Norway with regional sales management
• Work cooperatively and effectively with peers in the Sales, Sales / Support, and Technical service and colleagues in the back-office teams to, at all time, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction with our products and services
• Consistently achieve or exceed order bookings objectives


Education and Experience

• B.Sc. level qualification in a scientific discipline preferably Chemistry
• Relevant experience in a sales or marketing environment be it capital analytical equipment sales/marketing or a consumables type environment. Alternative a candidate with no sales experience but someone with a strong commercial awareness and a good knowledge of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry would also be considered.
• A broad familiarity of the following industries: Pharma/Biotech, Academia, Industrial
• Good understanding for key account management
• Experience with Business development and “Cold calls”
• Ability to identify new target accounts each year and be able to develop and execute territory plans

• Ability to travel within your defined geographical area and on occasions to facilities across Europe/US

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
• B.Sc. or similar qualification in a scientific discipline preferably Chemistry
• Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines and targets
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• A good level of knowledge in the English language, both written and oral
• A good level of interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills
• Ability to travel (80% of the customers are nearby CPH area – over day travel)
• Valid Danish driving license
