Job description - TILLSATT

Territory: Denmark (focus on large Pharma)/Sweden/Norway

Customers to focus on and products to sell:

Industrial I:
R&D at Food & Beverage, Chemical and Agriculture customers.

Industrial II: Manufacturing and R&D at Medical Device, Dental and Ophthalmic customers

The new sales person will also work closely together with the BioMonitoring, LabWater and Advanced Analytics field specialists. She/he will be responsible for the whole Sigma-Aldrich and Merck Millipore product portfolio which are sold to her/his customers. This makes it interesting as the she/he has quite a lot of freedom on which products to focus. That depends on the customer and where she/he expects opportunities. This could be anywhere in their workflow. The target is the profitable growth of sales of her/his customer set.

Placed: Denmark/South of Sweden (offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm)

Reporting to: Sales Manager Medical Materials West EU

Travel: 3-4 days at customer sites (great focus on one essential customer located in DK)

Essential job functions
• Visit existing and potential customers according to agreed visit target levels
• Manage sales opportunities by generating and following leads
• Successfully manage and deliver against individual and team sales targets with specified area of responsibility
• Monitor and take action to close gaps against sales targets, and update forecast as required
• Understand customer’s business, their needs and goals and identify potential new business
• Identify market and competitor activity, product and industry developments and feedback this information to management and other relevant functions
• Use market intelligence to open up new channels of sales
• Identify, build relationship with appropriate decision makers within Customers and manage sales negotiations
• Provide performance reports and metrics and other data as required to customers and internally within company
• Identify general areas for improvements to maximize customer satisfaction & efficiencies, streamline processes, increase sales, improve delivery and product availability
• Work collaboratively with all colleagues across territories, regions, or countries to share best practice as well as important projects in order to improve the coverage of multi-country customers
• Use sales-specific systems to manage own sales pipeline, forecast and monitor sales targets
• Comply with guidelines surrounding Company systems and other relevant policies
• Manage contract implementation where appropriate

Experience and Qualifications
• B.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry (Biochemistry, Chemical engineering or similar backgound)
• 3 years of experience in selling, preferable with similar products
• Track record of achieving targets
• Alternatively, chemistry background and an interest in taking the step into a sales position

• Good English speaking and writing skills
• Valid driving license
